Khajuraho and Safari!

After a week of not knowing if we could go away on a trip we booked back in December we submitted our passports to renew our visa's on Thursday afternoon and realised we could go away.  In the end the planing was not the best as  we had Harry and Lyndsey coming to stay one night before going back home and my friend Carro arrived yesterday while we were still away!

So on Friday morning we took off for Khajuraho and arrived early afternoon, we then just sat around the pool, had a drink and then in the evening we had a light and sound show at the Karma Sutra temples are. It was interesting...

In the morning we went to see the temples in the daylight  and they are pretty impressive! In the afternoon we went to the Raneh Falls in Panna Wildlife Reserve, which is an old volcano crater. I was expecting water tho but there were none!
We walked around it and it is pretty spectacular but would be even more so with water in it! They didn't say it was gonna be dry!  Supposedly during the Monsoon it is crazy.
We then decided to go on a little rowing boat to see some crocodiles (we did see one, but it swam away very fast) it was a nice half an hour just going around spotting birds.
On the way there we had a small Innova safari and saw deer, antelopes and even jackals.

On the Sunday we spent 6 hours in the car to go to the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. It was amazing , after only half an hour we saw a tiger!!!! She was laying down by a water hole, it was really difficult to see her, but when we did she was stunning!!! she got bored of us after a while and walked away. So we sped off in our jeep to try to see an other one! After a lot of looking and searching and the guides talking to each other we just decided to go around looking at birds, wild boar, spotted dear etc, and then we saw a big male one as well, he was laying down behind a fence because he was rescued with his two sisters when they where 6 month old and their mother died, so they are in an fenced area ( 5x5 km, so still quite a large) area just to teach them to hunt for themselves. He was now doing so well that he was a little fat as he did not walk far enough, so soon he was getting released into the wild proper.  So we saw him just laying around and he was so pretty as well!

We then decided to go back to where the saw the first one but she was nowhere to be found and we headed back to camp.

Then we had an other 5 hours of horrible driving in the dark before we reached our hotel! So scary!

On the Monday we just relaxed around the pool again and had a drink before heading home to Delhi and to see my friend!

Pictures will come....
